Brackets

Fabricated brackets mount, support and connect components, made by cutting and bending sheet or plate, or by welding sections. We supply brackets from simple bent angles to heavy welded supports, finished to suit their environment.

What it is

Light brackets are laser cut and press-brake bent from sheet; heavier brackets combine plate, angles and gussets welded together. Slots allow adjustment, and inserts or studs simplify assembly.

Brackets are usually zinc plated, powder coated or painted, or made from stainless steel for corrosion resistance.

Typical applications

  • Equipment and motor mounting
  • Sensor and panel brackets
  • Pipe and cable supports
  • Automotive and machinery brackets
  • Structural connection brackets

Suitable materials

  • CRCA and HR mild steel
  • Galvanised steel (GI/GP)
  • Stainless steel (304, 316)
  • Aluminium (5052, 6061)
  • Structural steel plate and angles

Points to consider

  • Gussets or flanges add stiffness to bent brackets.
  • Slotted holes allow adjustment during installation.
  • Choose finish by environment (indoor, outdoor, corrosive).
  • Common thicknesses and bend radii keep cost down.

Frequently asked questions

What finishes are available for brackets?

Zinc plating, powder coating or paint on mild steel, or stainless steel for corrosive environments.

Can you make brackets from a sketch?

Yes. From a sketch with key dimensions and hole positions we can prepare drawings and flat patterns.

How are brackets strengthened?

By adding flanges, ribs or welded gussets, or by increasing thickness.
