Custom Components
Custom components are parts made to a specific design, whether machined, fabricated, cast, forged, moulded or a combination, sourced through the manufacturing route best suited to the part. You bring the requirement; we find the right way to make it.
What it is
Every custom part has a best-fit process depending on shape, material, quantity and tolerance. With access to our own floor and a wide vendor network, we can choose that process rather than forcing the part through one factory's machines.
We coordinate the whole route, including finishing and inspection, and deliver finished parts with one point of contact.
Typical applications
- New product parts
- Special machine components
- Replacement parts
- Low-volume specials
- Production parts for OEMs
Materials & grades
- Steels, stainless steels and cast iron
- Aluminium, brass, bronze and copper
- Engineering plastics and rubber
Points to consider
- Share annual volume; it shapes the best process.
- Clear critical dimensions help optimise cost.
- Prototype before committing to tooling.
- Ask about design tweaks that reduce cost.
Frequently asked questions
How do you decide how to make a custom part?
By shape, material, tolerance and volume. We compare possible routes and choose the one that meets the requirement at the best cost.
Can you handle parts needing several processes?
Yes. We coordinate each process and deliver finished parts under one order.
Do you need a drawing?
A drawing is ideal, but a sample, photos or a dimensioned sketch is often enough to start.
